SAVES LIVES

The Matt Adams Foundation

Founded in memory of our precious Matt, we seek to aid others on their road to recovery.

Our Mission

The Matt Adams Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit which funds distribution of life saving naloxone opioid overdose reversal kits and other harm reduction services while working to break down the stigma and encourage hope, healing and dignity in care.

What We Do

Spread Love. Save Lives.

Education

Stigma and misunderstanding only perpetuate the opioid epidemic. Through education and advocacy, we work to foster understanding, empathy and compassion towards this medical crisis griping our nation.

Harm Reduction

The Matt Adams Foundation provides harm reduction materials to those struggling with substance use disorder, their families and friends, businesses, and the community at large to save lives when every second counts.

Recovery Aid

In 2020 the Matt Adams Foundation began supporting Peer Recovery specialist programs and other resources that guide people seeking recovery through treatment, recovery and beyond, particularly during crisis moments.

Words from the Community on Our Services

"We were honored to receive a donation of 20 Naxolone Kits from the Matt Adams Foundation for Opioid Recovery. These kits will give our officers the ability to administer life saving measures when seconds count.

I encourage everyone to take a look at what the Matt Adams Foundation for Opioid Recovery is doing and help support their worthy cause."

"I just wanna say I’m so proud of what y’all are doing. I personally knew Matt. I was an addict myself. I overdosed in 2016 and naloxone saved my life… Matt was an awesome guy and I’m glad I got the chance to get to know him very well. I love what y’all are doing for our city. I am 27 months clean now from opioids."

Amazing women building on the love of an amazing man to spread awareness and understanding of a serious crisis killing so many of our loved ones. I admire their strength and determination more than I can convey. Thank you for taking something unbelievably tragic and turning it into something so incredibly meaningful.

I learned about your awesome work in a sermon preached by Laura Eberly at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific on May 9th. I’m so impressed by the simplicity, directness, and efficacy of what you’re doing, and by the positive impact toward which you seem to be directing your grief. Sending you love and strength for your journeys.

Thanks for all that you guys are doing for the recovery community. I recently was given some naloxone and fentanyl strips and told about your program, and major props. If this was around sooner I might have a few less dead friends so sincerely thank you guys. You have no idea how much it helps.
